Core functionality is shared within three interoperable, systemic products distinctive in their respective value propositions. Differentiated by their source points in survey exercises, multiple data sets are captured exclusively for reporting and delivery to clients.
Enduring an acquisition, a project I was working on signaled business need for a struggling analog product, atrophied from years of customization that enabled organizational inconsistency. Fast forward two years, the effort blossomed into the first standardized product, Quick Predict. The upfront diligence for streamlined workflows, collaboration and interactive reporting features were later leveraged by platform newcomers Quick Screen and Quick Use, reducing development time for each.
As a concatenation of features mapping to the core compentency of the Nielsen BASES business and a database of over 300,000 tested innovations, Quick Suite empowers clients with in-market data at their fingertips, predictive metrics and actionable recommendations.
Ancillary to Quick Predict, Quick Screen’s lightweight service generates results in as soon as one day. As a value-add, it’s useful for clients with smaller budgets to validate market demand before going deeper into the innovative process.

Ideas are ranked by consumers in choice-based exercises.
Metrics of ranked ideas give clarity on what to pursue and avoid for innovation.
As the first pillar of the Quick Suite, Quick Screen has been instrumental in bringing high performing ideas into tested concepts in which many have become successful products in market. In preventive cases, Quick Screen has also saved clients billions of dollars in aggregate from potential market loss on risky innovations.
The first BASES analog to digital overhaul where opportunities to improve and automate process were abundant. As a result, clients can create concepts, test, communicate and measure market potential — all within a smaller time frame. I was responsible for the design of multiple systemic touchpoints throughout the application, from microinteractions to intricate features, and most importantly, the interactive reporting deliverables leveraged by all sibling products.

Quick Predict was the first product launched on the Studio platform which ushered a major organizational shift to digital products and increased profit. It has also been pivotal in laying a foundation for following products, Quick Screen, Quick Use, and many more in progress. As it continues to improve the business’ bottom line, more features and deliverables are added as methodologies evolve.
Built upon its predecessor on the Studio platform, Quick Use is a standalone product used as an extension to Quick Predict that provides additional diagnostics from two distinctive fieldings for pre-use and trial-use data sets. Participants in the survey process are first asked about sentiments on potential products (pre-use) and later asked to evaluate them after manufacturing (trial-use) which is compared to quantify perceptions, potency, and market opportunity.

Quick Use has helped transform many successful ideas and concepts previously tested in Quick Screen and Quick Predict to market as tangible and useful products. As such, it has become BASES’ flagship product on the entire Studio platform that aligns in-market volumetric forecasting for products to their pre-market successes within the original ideation process.
